Private Internet Access: Please describe the story behind Livex: What sparked the idea, and how has it evolved so far?
We wanted to start a software company to enable startups and SME’s to get access to world-class software development without the massive development cost typically charged by the software industry.
Our model has been received very well in the market and we have seen tremendous growth over the past few years.
We structure each project to our client’s needs and budget allowing them to get the software solution their businesses need while maintaining a structured development costing model.
PIA: What services do you offer?
Our primary focus is on developing custom software solutions and mobile apps, we approach each software solution we develop with a security-first approach ensuring that every solution takes all the cyber security best practices into account.
Additionally, we offer cyber security services and network management to further enhance our offering to our clients and to assist all our clients in keeping their businesses and data secure.
PIA: In your opinion, what is the best way for a person to protect their system from cyberthreats?
In my opinion having the essentials cyber security measures in place, such as anti-virus, firewalls and network/user access controls goes a long way in protecting against cyber threats.
Additionally, I believe a lot of cyber security breaches could have been prevented if users were made more aware of things like ransomware, social engineering, and phishing. Many users are familiar with these terms but may not have enough information to properly identify such attacks.
